Waterrock Knob Engagement Session

Real engagement photos of a romantic, foggy mountain engagement session at Waterrock Knob on the Blue Ridge Parkway with Shanti + Elliot.

When I first arrived, it was raining and not a pretty picture for photos, but as I sat there, the sun came out and gave us just a hint of light.

Then as the fog rolled in, it created a surreal setting that made for some amazing intimate images with these great people.

Oconaluftee Engagement Session

Alena found me on Facebook and when I spoke to her on the phone, I just knew they were going to make amazing photos.

He proposed this past July in the Dominican Republic while visiting family. They stayed at a beautiful resort in the countryside. Westley asked Alena to go for a walk with him on the beach, he told her how much he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

These real engagement photos are seriously gorgeous at the park in Cherokee right along the river.

Lakeside Engagement Session

Jen + Joel met me at Lake Bowen Landing in Inman, SC.

The sunset over the lake was gorgeous, Jen (and Joel) were dressed to the nines!

Plus, I got to shoot this super sweet couples wedding in October of this year!

Lake Hartwell Engagement Session

This gorgeous Lake Hartwell Engagement Session was shot at this couples newly renovated lake house on a gorgeous portion of Lake Hartwell. It’s actually on the other side of the dam which you can see from their dock!

For this lifestyle style engagement session, we utilized most of their house! We used their guest house, the yard, the dock, the living room and even the kitchen!

Gassaway Mansion Engagement Session

This sweet couple and I met up at their wedding venue for a great Gassaway Mansion Engagement Session. As you can see, they are super in love and I am very much looking forward to their wedding in Spring 2018!

A 1919 Mansion run by super sweet people, make for some amazing photos!

Downtown Asheville Engagement Session

These real engagement photos in Downtown Asheville has to be one of my favorite to date!

Jordan + Marlowe (LOVE her name!) met in college at Wingate. She’s a teacher and he’s in sales.

We had a blast hanging out downtown, finding neat little nooks & crannies to shoot in and created some gorgeous images for them.

Botanical Gardens Engagement Session

Katie + Paul met me at the Botanical Gardens for their Engagement Session.

We had a blast wandering around finding sweet little spots for some great photos.

And guess what?! They’re getting married the week of my birthday next year!! Super exciting!

The leaves are changing and the weather is ah-ma-zing, which makes this the ideal time for your family photo session. I only have seven dates left at the time of writing this post, and I would love to get you and your family in for your session before the time changes on Nov 5th.

Engagement Session in Cherokee NC

This Oconaluftee Islands Park Engagement Session in Cherokee NC was SO much fun.

Alena found me on Facebook and when I spoke to her on the phone, I just knew they were going to make amazing photos.

Alena + Westley met at work a couple of years ago. They have since moved on to bigger better things: She’s a teacher and he works in Loss Prevention for a retail store.

He proposed this past July in the Dominican Republic while visiting some family. They stayed at a beautiful resort in the countryside. Westley asked Alena to go for a walk with him on the beach, he told her how much he loved her and wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.

She very obviously said yes!

He was super sweet to her during the session and they totally melted my heart as a couple.

Their wedding is next November and I wish them all the happiness in the world – though they may have already found it!

Engagement Photography With Pets

If you are planning an Engagement Photography Session with your pets in your session, I am more than happy to have you do that! I love furry friends (and have two pups of my own: Winchester – a Catahoula and Lillith – a Border Collie) and I am always pleased to add them into our sessions! Here are some things you should remember to bring to ensure everything goes smoothly:

1. A leash. This will help you keep your pet near to you and where you want him or her for photos. (They aren’t just for dogs, you know.) Be sure to bring a thinner leash, as they are easier to hide or edit out if necessary.
2. A friend. Having someone come with you specifically to take care of your pet is ideal. This will help so that your pet is not running around all over the place or alone in the car, should you wish to take some photos without your four legged baby.
3. Treats are great bribery for your animal. It will help keep your pet still and focused on the camera.
4. A favorite toy. The noisier the better. This is also a great tool to help keep your pet’s attention on me. We can also use it for a fun game and get some fun interaction shots.
